History:
PCA started out as Christian Life Academy some thirty years ago. We were located on Soles and Beaver Streets in McKeesport when Praise Assembly of God was Christian Life Church. Christian Life Academy originally went from K to 12th grade. We had a day-care then as well.
When Christian Life Academy re-located to North Versailles we became Praise Christian Academy and did away with the high school. We made that choice because we felt we could not effectively prepare high school students for college with our limited resources. We chose to concentrate on grades K-8, and in so doing, have provided a quality educational experience.
More Information:
PCA does have an active Parent Teacher Fellowship. These volunteers donate many hours to provide extras for our student body. The PTF is responsible for the Campbell Label and Box Tops for Education programs. They provide a Christmas store, sponsor a Fun Day at the end of the year, bless the staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, sponsor field trips, decorate the school, and work at a myriad of other activities that help make PCA the special place it is. Every parent is considered a part of the PTF. Parents are simply invited to help with any activity of their choosing. Meetings are scheduled throughout the year and are open to everyone. All parents are invited to join us on our facebook page
